Wintler Park

I've been trying to think of visually interesting places near my house to practice my photo-taking skills, so today I tried out Wintler Park on the Columbia River. In my mind it had so much potential: it's a sandy beach, it's on a river with Oregon just on the other side, there is distant view of Mt. Hood to the East, and we're in the midst of fall. But it turns out that steel grey water and a fuzzy Oregon in the distance is not all that interesting on camera. I need more practice.
