London Weeks 4-7

I know. I have failed. Even though I had such amazing aspirations to be a stellar blogger of my excursions across the UK, I have only blogged three times. I have instead resorted to sending a weekly letter to my family outlining my adventures accompanied by a Snapfish album. To my blog readers, I am truly sorry to all three of you.

I'm not going to try to catch up on four weeks, but I will give you a little taste of the various things I have done since my last update.

I spent a day in Paris, which was amazing, but rushed, I went to the Cotswolds where I tramped around the English countryside, I went to Hairspray and Les Mis, I went to Cambridge, Blenheim Palace, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, Stourhead, and I'm sure many many more places that I just can't remember right now. I'm almost done with my stay in London, which is really weird. I feel like I've sort of been counting down the days, but while I was counting down the days, suddenly I look back and I've lived for seven weeks here and have made friends and made a little life here in London. I'm going to be really sad to leave, but I'm also really looking forward to having my own space again, my own straightener, a real closet, more than six shirts to choose from, and my Provo friends.

Oh, London. This blog does not do the last four weeks justice. I'm sorry. I was going to add pictures, but there is now someone in line for the computers. If you ever do study abroad bring a computer that gets wireless. JUST DO IT!

Oh Kristin, it sounds so amazing. I know how you feel, when it was getting close to time for me to leave Hawaii, part of me was excited to see everyone again, and be able to do my hair... but part of me was sad that my adventure into another world was ending. But I haven't seen in you in pretty much forever, so, come back to Provo.

I am not really disappointed. It is hard to do stuff other than school and explor-y/adventure-y things on study abroad. I really am getting such a travel bug because of this.

I'm glad you got to go to Paris. And I'm even more glad you liked it because I would never forgive you if you hated it. When I left that city, I cried. I don't think I even had mixed feelings about it.

Now you are probably going to get married. That's what people do after study abroad.

Mon amour (maintenant et toujours),

I know! It's freaking me out. All day I've been thinking, "If I were at the Centre, I would be doing ______." And snuggling Kristin. My long day of travel was just that--long. And exhausting. I too slept zero hours and am still not sure which reality I'm living in.
I still need to email you about Snapfish, huh? I'll get on that tomorrow.

Au revoir!
Shirl

Kristin! When you get back,( like back, back, like Provo back) we're making Lemon Poppy Seed muffins. I decided.
